to/from Nice airport
Airport Bus
The number 98 bus to the Gare Routiere (bus station) runs every 20 minutes from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and terminates just behind the Old Town. The route goes along the Promenade des Anglais (beach road) and turns up the Boulevard Jean Jaures to the bus station. The ride takes 20 minutes and costs €4. For this price the ticket is also an all day excusion pass on any bus route in the general Nice area and ends at midnight on the day of purchase. The number 99 bus also departs from both terminals 1 and 2 and takes you to the main Nice train Station - the Nice-Ville Gare SNCF via the Promenade des Anglais until it turns left onto the Boulevard Gambetta and then to the train station. Same ticket policy applies for this route. Buses run every 20 minutes from 05h45 until 23h45.
Taxi
Taxis stop outside both Terminals and take around ten to 15 minutes to Nice. Rides should cost around €30.
There are taxi ranks on the Avenue Felix Faure by the Grand Hotel Aston, ourside Le Meridien hotel, at Nice-Ville rail station, as well as throughout the city. Most of the large hotels will have a taxi waiting outside, otherwise the concierge will call one for you. If you need to order a cab ask at your hotel or restaurant for a local firm or try calling Allo Taxi Nice (Tel: +33 (0)4-9313-7878)
Driving
Those with their own transport or an car hire should turn right out of the airport following signs for Nice/Promenade des Anglais. The information office at the airport has good city maps, as do most of the car hire desks.
Parking in Nice is expensive. Some car parks such as the 'Marche aux Fleurs' and the 'Palais de Justice' underneath the Old Town charge around €25 for 24 hours. You shouldn't have too much difficulty finding a space however.

Le Cannet - A beautiful secret
A cute small old town 300 meters above Cannes with narrow winding lanes and great sea views. The properties date from the 1850's and some of the best boutique shops are in Le Cannet's main street. Look at this lovely villa in Le Cannet
