Shops and markets
Overview
There is no two ways about it, Cannes is simply great for shopping! It is a shopper's paradise for chic and expensive items, boasting an outstanding collection of top of the line jewellery shops, haute-couture clothes shops, art galleries, gift shops and much more.
Best Areas
Rue d'Antibes: this long street runs the length of the "Banane", Cannes' most central district, from the eastern edge to Rue Felix Faure at the Port. Shops of all types are along here, including clothing boutiques such as Les Comptoirs des Cotonniers and Tara Jarmon, and high street favourites such as Mango and Zara. You will be spoilt for choice with all the fabulous shops to buy shoes, lingerie & cosmetics, not forgetting some great gift shops including Bathroom Graffiti at no.52.

Bvd de la Croisette: along this famous boulevard and its many side streets are the art galleries, jewellery shops and the most exclusive clothing shops such as Escada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Cartier & Bulgari. Top budget hotels such as the Carlton International and the Martinez are also located here.
Zone Pietonne (Pedestrian street): the Rue Meynadier runs parallel to the Port, one block from Rue Felix Faure. Roughly six blocks long, this street has markets and shops selling everything from meat, groceries, clothing and gifts.
Markets: The main daily market is at Forville, two blocks north (inland) from the Hotel de Ville on Rue Felix Faure. This is a big, active covered market which is without a doubt the very essence of French life - a traditional setting which just buzzes with life in an atmosphere of colour, noise and energy in a way that is traditionally French mediterranean. Here you can enjoy the hubbub of the local market as you choose your meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, cheeses, herbs and flowers, all laid out in typical market stalls, fresh and of wonderful quality, plenty of flavour and scent, unlike so many of today's supermarkets.
There is also a Flea Market (Marche Brocante), held every Saturday "Sur les Allees", opposite the old Port beneath the trees. This becomes a two-day market on the first Sunday of every month.
