The FT says Nice is an investor hotspot
The FT says Nice is an investor hotspot

The Financial Times says that Nice has become one of the hottest spots to invest in on the Mediterranean, after a four year beautification programme that has transformed this vibrant, exciting city.

Getting here, getting around and enjoying Nice

Nice, the capital of France's famous Riviera, has once again become the by-word for glamour, charisma and that certain French sense of style that translates into an easy life. It's now easier than ever before to get to Nice and enjoy what it has to offer. Easyjet has brought with its cheap fares the largest changes to the area since the Romans. During the summer season there are a staggering 40 flights a day from the UK alone with that one company.  British Airways and BMI also have a large selection of flights to Nice.

More and more people are arriving in the South of France by train. This mode of transport has become fashionable among the glitterarti - Stress free travel, the new TGV link to the south, being forced to slow down, and the views of the beautiful French country side are just some of the reasons more and more people are deciding to take the Train to the Sun.

Nice also has an enviable public transport system especially the bus services that are frequent, modern and clean that take you to most parts of Nice. The central bus station in Nice is on the border of the Old Town sandwiched between the Blvd Jean Jures, the Avenue Felix Faure and the Rue Tondutti de l'Escarene. From here you can catch the airport bus (the number 98), take a trip around the bay to Villefranche on the Monaco bus or hop on a bus to Madrid.

More than any other part of the coast, Nice has changed irrevocably during the last decade thanks to extensive urban planning, new hotels and shops and a rediscovery of the city's golden age thanks in part to a huge increase in flights to the nearby Nice Cote d'Azur airport. Nice's long awaited new tramline has got the locals and frequent tourists very excited. Now that the tramway is completed you can get around the downtown area very efficiently and quickly. It costs 1.30 for a single ticket, but if you are in town for a while buy a book of ten tickets at any tram station for ten Euros.

Meanwhile the property market, the largest one the Riviera, has never been so buoyant. Apartments for €150,000 and villas at €2,500,000 are being sold to foreign buyers from the world over. We always have several hundred prime properties on our books or with associated agents to suit all needs.

With flights to and from over 30 cities in Europe, Nice is one of the most accessible places on the continent. Flights to London alone number around 25 per day and to the rest of the UK about 40 flights a day. The shops and markets are world class, as are the sights around the city. Getting around is not a problem with a public transport system the envy of most capitals. With Monaco, Antibes and Cannes 30 minutes away, there's always something to see on the Cote d'Azur.
