is to represent the buyer in a market that is saturated with French
Agents all representing the seller.
We are NOT French Agents, our sole purpose is to introduce clients
to properties through our large network of trusted agencies on the
Riviera and then manage the buying process to the advantage of our
clients. We have the contacts to administer the smallest detail for you
during and after the buying process.
Our speciality is as property finders - you give us your requirements
and we will search the region and find a property that matches your
desires. If you see a property you like somewhere else let us know and
we will speak to our French counterparts and organise a visit.
Why we are different
Totally Riviera was conceived in 2002 by two former UK based
journalists, who had both purchased property in France and where
appalled at the level of service they received from the local agents.
This prompted a serious bout of research into the market and the way
local agents did their business and it soon became apparent that the
foreign buyer really didn't have any one on their side, representing
them during the sometimes confusing buying process.
It was a bit
of a closed shop especially if your language skills where not perfect
and you had little understanding of the legal responsibilities of the
vendor and the agents.
Spotting a Niche in the market for a property location and finding
service that represented the buyer, Totally Riviera was launched, at
first just dealing with the downtown area of Nice.
The success of this concept, of representing the buyer and looking
after the whole detailed process for them, led to further expansion
into Cannes and Villefranche and along the way we made friends with many of our buyers
who have gone onto to sell our company, our non-aggressive selling
philosophy and our legendary after sales care and service, to other
friends and relatives. In fact 30 percent of all our new business is
through referrals, an amazing statistic in the property business. Many of these
clients would be delighted to pass on references about their
experiences with totallyRiviera.
We are very proud of our company and the way we work with clients.
Part of this success is due to the Managing Directors decision very
early on in the development of the company, not to hire real estate
professionals. They are just too aggressive and pushy. The company has
among its sales staff,
former journalists, a bio-chemist, a yacht-broker, an events organiser
for a large London merchant bank, an IT executive and a couple of part
time mums.
