The most prestigious area of Nice, Mont Boron is synonymous with ivy-covered villas, fine views and gentle sea breezes. Several stars own homes here, including Elton John. The beau monde is made up primarily of leading local, French and international business figures.

The quarter is just to the east of Nice rising up from the port of Nice and the sea and stretches back to the north for about two kilometres. On the top of Mount Boron is a heavily wooded area that is a protected national park, with walking trails and extraordinary views back over the city and the bay of Villefranche.

There is little property below €500,000 on Mont Boron with most of the more inexpensive apartments in buildings dating from the 1950s to the present day. As purpose built apartment blocks, many have balconies, terraces and pools in the grounds. Parking is much easier in this area as the streets aren't as congested as in central Nice or even Villefranche. Most apartment buildings have underground parking. There is an expensive, peaceful feel about it with more space and less commercial activity.
